Philanthropist Aimée Labarrere de Servitje Montblanc award winner

Montblanc gives the Montblanc award of the Culture Arts Patronage Award in Mexico.

The philanthropist Aimée Labarrere de Servitje was awarded this year.

Last Thursday, September 26, 2019, Montblanc was the host of the Montblanc Award of the Culture Arts Patronage Award at the esplanade of the Cárcamo de Dolores Museum, where Stéphanie Martinez General Manager of Montblanc Mexico with Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath, Presidents of the Montblanc Culture Foundation, They recognized Aimée Labarrere de Servitje for her exceptional contribution to the world of contemporary art.

Aimée was chosen to receive the award in recognition of her continued support to various arts organizations in Mexico and beyond its borders, such as the Olga Foundation and Rufino Tamayo, Patronato de Arte Contemporáneo A.C. and the MUAC (University Museum of Contemporary Art) among many others. As well as, for her career as President of the SOMA Board of Trustees and President of Casa Gallina, in whose development she has committed herself uniquely for two decades. Casa Gallina is a transdisciplinary cultural project whose program focuses on learning and actions on culture, community, and environment. The project is located in Santa María la Ribera, a neighborhood of Mexico City, and seeks to facilitate synergies within local communities. The winner received the Limited Edition Patron of Art Homage to Hadrian in a special trophy in addition to a donation of 15,000 euros to benefit her respective projects: the PAC, Casa Gallina, and SOMA.

The guests enjoyed an intimate ceremony to celebrate the winner and exclusive experience of modern calligraphy with the artist Bertha Velasco who expressed her style thanks to the exclusive inks of the Maison. During the award ceremony, Montblanc presented a unique limited edition writing instrument that celebrates the cultural legacy and patronage of a historical character of art, paying tribute to the Roman emperor Adriano, who during the 21 years he ruled was a great promoter of the cultural legacy of the arts and architecture, investing in infrastructure and art in every corner of his expanding kingdom.

Every year since 1992 the Montblanc Cultural Foundation has presented the “Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage” Award. This internationally renowned award is bestowed on celebrities from artistic and cultural worlds whose personal commitment is made mostly far away from the spotlight and the public eye: Patrons. The priceless work they do backstage is distinguished by a life-long passion and dedication which supports talent everywhere and enriches a global audience. In 2019 this award welcomes patrons from Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Italy, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, and Mexico.
